June 1-September 1, 2018 Check out Imagine Doing More, a summer program challenging teens to think about how they can positively impact the quality of their Chicago environment, from June 1 to September 1, by investigating, learning and creating an action plan. This self-directed summer program also invites teens to participate in Partner Challenges with the Adler Planetarium, the Chicago Architecture Foundation, the Chicago Botanic Garden, and the Environmental Law & Policy Center. Teen Arts Pass - Dance, music and theatre performances for only FIVE BUCKS!!! Teen Arts Pass (TAP) is a new initiative by Urban Gateways that gives young people ages 13-19 access to $5 tickets to see professional dance, music, and theater performances in and around Chicago. With your free TAP membership, all you have to do is present proof of membership at a participating venue on the day of the show, and as long as it’s not sold out, you can purchase a ticket (with a possible value of up to $200+) for $5 cash. Spain Field Trip, Spring 2019, INFORMATIONAL MEETING, Wednesday, June 6 in the library at 5 PM Come learn about a spectacular travel opportunity - a field trip to Spain that will take place in April 2019, most likely April 7-April 19, 2019. The main site of the program is the beautiful Spirit of Music Garden in Grant Park at 601 S. Michigan - only two blocks from JCP! Other Chicago Park District locations include Ping Tom Memorial Park, the Humboldt Park Boathouse, and Buckingham Fountain.
