A REMINDER: No Fines For Overdue Books! The standard loan period for book checkouts is three weeks. After three weeks you will receive periodic email reminders of your overdue book(s). Computer Science Education Week 2021 / Workshops all this week Monday-Friday The Jones Computer Science Honor Society is collaborating with fellow STEM clubs to host a full week of workshops for Computer Science Education Week (CSEdWeek)! These workshops are COMPLETELY FREE and require NO experience.

Jones Coalition of Immigrants (JCI) will be hosting an event in collaboration with AAC (Asian American Club), ALAS (Association of Latin American Students), the Black Coalition, Chinese PCLH+ (Chinese Politics Culture Language History), and Polish Club. Students will highlight the different cultures of their immigrant communities through various activities and foods. Additionally, there will be photo opps, music, and an opportunity to learn about different cultures! Tickets will be sold by affinity leaders starting now. Film Screening and Discussion of of Passing in the Library on Thursday, December 16, 3:30 PM-5:30 PM The film Passing (2021) is based on the novel of the same name by American author Nella Larsen, first published in 1929. Set primarily in the Harlem neighborhood of New York City in the 1920s, the story centers on the reunion of two childhood friends - Clare and Irene - and their increasing fascination with each other's lives. The title refers to the practice of "racial passing,” and is a key element of the novel. Teachers Mr. Powers, Ms. Rodriguez, and Mr. Feeley are hosting.
