Day of Remembrance 2021 The Day of Remembrance is a day of observance for the internment of Japanese Americans during World War II. Events are held on or near February 19, the day in 1942 that Executive Order 9066 was signed by President Franklin D. Roosevelt, requiring internment of all Americans of Japanese ancestry. All students are invited to join a community of young people around the country at the Mikva Challenge Issues to Action Kickoff on March 11, 5:30-7:30 PM.
