June 13, 2019 Dear Jones Students, JCP SUMMER BOOK CHECKOUT!!! Students are welcomed and encouraged to check out books over the summer, starting today during the lunch periods! It’s almost summer, the best time to read! All books will be due on the first day of school on September 3, 2019. Please stop by to consider titles from the following:
Finals Week Library Hours The library will be used for testing all three days of finals. The library will be open before school and after school as usual. The library will most likely be able to host a smaller number of students during the lunch/ac lab periods in the northern portion of the library (including the center computers and the printer). A quieter library will be essential to not disturb students testing. The library will close for the year at 3:15 PM on Thursday, June 21. Windy City Hacks High schoolers: Learn to code in 24 hours of free food, prizes, & fun. June 22–23, 2019 @ Origami Risk, Chicago Windy City Hacks is a 24-hour event in downtown Chicago where 200 programmers, artists, designers, and other high schoolers from across the Midwest come together to build apps and games. We’ll provide workshops, mentorship, free meals and drinks, and places to sleep. The next morning, judges will pick the best projects to demo and win prizes. Beginners are welcome! Registration is free and open to all students 13 and up. https://windyhacks.com/ Teen Arts Pass - Dance, music and theatre performances for only FIVE BUCKS!!!
