Monday, December 4, 3:30 PM - MakerSpace Hour of Code using the FLASHFORGE Finder 3D printer and the Silhouette Cameo Electronic Cutting Tool (School Library) Tuesday, December 5, 3:30 PM - Scratch Hour of Code with the Girls Who Code Club (Room 3011) Wednesday, December 6, 3:30 PM - Demonstration of the Science Olympiad's robotic arm with the Robotics Club and coding with Finch Robots (Room 3011) Thursday, December 7, 3:30 PM - Astronomy Hour of Code with the Astronomy Club (Room 3011) Friday, December 8, 3:30 PM - Minecraft Hour of Code (Room 3011) Get pumped for the week by watching a TEDx talk by Ali Partovi, Code.org's co-founder, called "Learning to Code is Not Just for Coders." Let’s build momentum for a spring 2018 hackathon at Jones called "Hack on State." Let’s build excitement around the new Computer Science graduation requirement mandated by former President Obama’s Computer Science for All initiative “to empower a generation of American students with the computer science skills they need to thrive in a digital economy” and to create equal access to computer science careers, especially women and underrepresented minority groups.
