Black Coalition Teacher-Student Workshop The Black Coalition, with the help of the counseling department, is hosting a teacher-student workshop on Friday, February 19th from 3:30 PM-5:00 PM. The aim for this workshop is to create a productive and authentic space for both students and teachers to hear each other out, ask questions, and walk away with new ideas about how to shape Jones’ classrooms to be more inclusive and safe for all students. Jones Women in STEM is collaborating with the University of Chicago to lead a virtual month-long series of STEM workshops. This event consists of four parts: 1. Opening Panel on February 12; 2. Imposter Syndrome Workshop on February 18; 3. Resume Editing & Internships Workshop on February 26; and 4. Interview Workshop on March 5. Each workshop will lead to direct conversations and meaningful discussions between JCP students and U of C students. All workshops are open to all JCP students. Attend the USHLI 2021 Student Leadership Series, February 18 The United States Hispanic Leadership Institute will launch its 2021 Student Leadership Series (SLS) on Thursday, February 18, 2021, at their 39th National Conference. The SLS serves as the cornerstone of USHLI’s campaign to create a culture of education in which academic persistence will become a priority in every Latino household.
